Why do I need to supply my basic information to become a Standard Member such as my name and street and email address? What is the reason you do not accept P.O. Boxes?

We need to check for honesty. Our only way to do that is through your basic information which is not seen by members. P.O. Boxes are not a reliable form to establish identity. All personal information provided is kept confidential per our Privacy Policy.

Why do I have to pay a fee to upgrade memberships which will allow me to view pictures, profiles and communicate with other members?

For three reasons. One, for us to be able to establish an added form of members' identity check. For experience, we cannot afford relying on one form to confirm basic profile information. Two, to add another layer of safety. If we allow anybody to become a member, then we will re-open the doors for people who are not honest to join us. We have already been there. Three, it speeds up the approval process to Standard Members who want to upgrade memberships. 

How do I replace my profile picture?

Just follow these steps:

1 Go to the "Manage Profile Pictures" in the Members' Panel.

2 Upload your second picture.

3 Once the second picture is uploaded, you need to wait for us to approve it.

4 After the second picture is approved, click "Yes" in the "Manage Profile Pictures" where it says "Use this as default profile picture" in picture #2 and click "Submit"

5 Then your new profile picture will be in place of the previous one.

Who I need to contact for billing questions?

 Customers who pay via CCBill need go to https://support.ccbill.com for customer support. Paypal customers can contact PayPal. Our only condition BEFORE payments are made to avoid membership cancellations is that the first and last names that appear in the payment transaction of the upgrading Standard member are the same as as in the profile information that we keep from the member. We will not honor third party or business name payments.

How do you know if your members are really virgin?

We do not know for certain that all of our members are virgin. But, we are confident that most of them are, based on the assumption of honesty. We believe that honest people are credible. Hence, the critical part of our website is to evaluate our applicants for honesty. This takes place mainly in two forms. First, we verify the information supplied by the applicants at the time of registration (any personal information provided is confidential per our Privacy Policy). Second, applicants who become Standard members are required to go through a second (or sometimes a third depending on the case) verification check when and if they intend to upgrade membershps. Standard members, by the way, can be able to conduct member searches, but cannot view pictures, profiles or interact with other members. As a result of our screening process, many profiles have not been approved. We are aware that we are taking the risk of losing a few real virgins as a consequence of the process, but we do not want to take the greater risk of approving a much greater number of people who are not honest. Honest people, who state they are virgin, will be more credible than those who are not honest. We are also aware, that some of the applicants who are not virgin may be providing their real information when they sign up. This is where we ask our real virgin members to do their due diligence.

We have learned about improving the process of selecting those applicants who are honest as time has gone by. Technology has played a great role to improve the selection process. This application is a faster way of communicating to other members of the site who are online. Its lists all the members who are online. When you send message, recipient will receive message and would reply. If unfortunately recipient doesn't receive message for some reason, then that message will be send to his onsite message Inbox.

How does "My Matches" works?

My Matches works according to the basic profile and "search preferences" at the bottom of the "edit profile" page.

 When someone emails me, where does the email go and how do I respond?

When a member sends you a note, it goes straight into your onsite message Inbox. We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's there.

To read the note, simply login to the site and go to your Inbox. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply", write your own note and send away. Your note will go straight into the member's onsite Inbox, and we'll let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.

All communications with other members stay onsite so that you never have to give out any personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, you can exchange phone numbers and even meet in person.

How do I edit my profile? How do I hide my profile?

To update your profile, click "Edit Profile" in Members Panel menu. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen when you're done.

Try to put your best foot forward with at least one photo and snappy, detailed essays about your interests. The photo is key since most people feel more comfortable writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in your essays and let the real you shine.

To hide your profile, select "No" for the option "Other members can see when I'm online?" on the "Edit Profile" page  . Keep in mind, however, that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all places because it ups their chances of connecting with people. And you never know, someone special may be looking for you and never get to find you if your profile is hidden.

When I suspend my membership, does it end my subscription? Can I put my subscription on hold?

No. Once you purchase a subscription, it will remain active for the remainder of your initial term.

To those of you who have brought up that “YouAndMeArePure” is written incorrectly, we totally agree with you if we take the name of our website as a sentence. It would have been a gross grammatical mistake had we taken it as such. But, YouAndMeArePure is NOT a sentence and it was not meant to be one. It is rather the name of our website. Names, as everybody knows, are not bound by grammatical conventions except maybe that they start with a capital letter. The name of our website was carefully crafted from the beginning to express that we value both, people entering in relationships and virginity. If you are interested to know how we got the “YouAndMe” as opposed to “YouAndI” then keep on reading: The part “YouAndMe” from our site’s name by itself can mean “Us”, “Both of us”, or “The two of us” (where the subjects are giving 100% focus on themselves), which satisfies the part of our value for our members entering in relationships. This value could not have been reflected had we selected “YouAndI” [where the subjects instead of focusing their attention on themselves, they rather focus on what they are (in this case “pure”)]. Hence, since we wanted to cover both the value that we have for our members and also the value of their purity, then we concluded that the part of our website’s name “YouAndMe” was better fit for our purposes than if we had selected “YouAndI”.
